Faculty Affiliate Kristen Cooksey Stowers, Assistant Professor in the Department of Allied Health Sciences at the University of Connecticut and Adjunct Assistant Professor of Population Health Sciences at Duke University, was recently featured in UConn Today for her role in strengthening community-engaged health research.

The article highlights a May networking event hosted by UConn’s Institute for Collaboration on Health, Intervention, and Policy (InCHIP) Community Engagement Research Core.
As co-chair of the steering committee, Dr. Stowers spoke on building trust, aligning priorities, and creating equitable academic–community partnerships to address health challenges.
